Any healthy individual within 18-65 years of age and minimum body weight of 45 kgs in India can use the platform to find blood donation requests, donate blood, and save lives. Other individuals can help amplify requests by sharing them in their personal and professional circles.

At present, TALBlood Aid can only be used for blood donations. We will soon be introducing the plasma donations and platelet donations features too.

Yes, at present the TALBlood Aid platform can only be used in India. Donors and donees both should be located in India to use the platform to give and receive blood.

TALBlood Aid is an absolutely free-to-use platform. We don’t charge any platform fees, usage charges or commissions for using the platform. This is a lifesaving revolution that is powered by kindness, compassion, and collective action.

TALBlood Aid is super easy and straightforward to use. We have made sure the platform is user-friendly and simple for users of all ages and levels of tech-savviness. We also work on feedback from users to keep improving the user experience.

TALBlood Aid is first-of-its-kind crowdsourcing platform that connects willing, voluntary donors with patients, hospitals and clinics in need of blood and blood components with an aim to make India blood sufficient. The platform is absolutely free to use and matches blood donors and donees by blood type and location. It allows donors to choose their preferred location by setting a radius like with any cab hailing or ecommerce platform. This enables donees to get connected with the closest donors and give themselves a fighting chance.

TALBlood Aid is platform that connects willing donors and those in need of blood and blood components, matched by blood type and location using the power of technology. We do not conduct the blood donation drive or collect/ deliver blood. We play the facilitator role to ensure that lives are not lost due to the lack of blood transfusion. Note that every day 12,000 patients in India die due to inaccessibility to timely blood transfusion.

4. You are now a Blood Donor.

3. Get notified on new requests for your blood type, in your location.
4. Geo-search for requests by blood type on Explore page.
5. Click Connect on suitable request. Donee details will be provided.
6. Contact donee & schedule the donation based on availability.
7. If unavailable, share requests in your networks to widen reach.
8. Manage profile, track blood donations, view donor cards, etc. by using the Dashboard.

2. To create a request, click on ‘Create a Request’ button.
3. Fill out a quick form with accurate information.
4. In the attendant details section, give the contact details of the person who should be contacted by the potential donors to set up the donation. Also, provide an alternative number.
5. If you have any relevant documents such as a doctor’s letter, medical records, etc., upload it to improve credibility of your request.
6. Click on submit.
7. Your request will be verified and published.
8. Share your request within your circles to amplify the reach.
9. When interested donors want to connect with you, your contact information will be shared with them.
10. You can thereon speak to them and schedule the donation.

We publish only requests created by verified users on our platform. Our security team and robust security technology are constantly monitoring the platform for any abnormal or suspicious user behavior. If we find any anomalous behavior or violations of the policies, we quickly take action to ensure the platform is secure and safe for genuine users. donees on the platform are vetted by us and we only accept requests that meet the submission guidelines.

Yes, TALBlood Aid is absolutely free to use. We charge 0% platform usage fees, registration fees or commissions.

Every 2 seconds someone somewhere is in need of blood or blood components for transfusion and livesaving treatments. 38,000 blood donations are needed every day for trauma/ accident care, critical surgeries (heart, kidney, livers, etc.), cancer patients, lifesaving treatments & more. In total, we need 15 million units of blood in India each year. Timely access to blood and blood components can save countless lives, avoiding preventable deaths.

But we only have 10 million units of blood available and fall short of 2.5 donations for every 1000 eligible donors. This leads to 12,000 deaths of patients in India every day due to inaccessibility for timely blood transfusion! We are on a mission to change this status quo and ensure that everyone in need of blood gets it in a timely manner.

At TALBlood Aid, the security, privacy and safety of all our users are top priorities for us and we don’t any chances on any of these fronts. With strong technical guidelines, robust data encryption and strong authentications, we not only ensure maintain all compliance standards but also ensure the highest levels of confidentiality, privacy and security of user data. We verify blood and blood component requests before publishing them on our platform to minimize the risks of frauds and scams. Our dedicated Trust & Safety team monitors all our systems for suspicious activity and anomalous user behaviour and take timely action to protect our users. The team also screens reports from the community and take remedial action if something that does not align with our rules.
