It allows donors to choose their preferred location by setting a radius like with any cab hailing or ecommerce platform. This enables donees to get connected with the closest donors and give themselves a fighting chance.

Every 2 seconds someone somewhere is in need of blood and every 15 seconds someone needs platelets for livesaving treatments, cancer treatment, surgeries, and more. In total, we need 15 million units of blood and 6 million units of platelets in India each year. Timely access to blood, platelets, and other blood components can save countless lives, avoiding preventable deaths.

But we only have 10 million units of blood available and fall short of 2.5 donations for every 1000 eligible donors while we fall short of more than 1 million units of platelets each year. This leads to 12,000 deaths of patients in India every day due to inaccessibility for timely blood transfusion and in hundreds due to lack of timely platelet transfusion! We are on a mission to change this status quo and ensure that everyone in need of blood, platelets, and other blood components gets it in a timely manner.

We verify blood and blood component requests before publishing them on our platform to minimize the risks of frauds and scams. Our dedicated Trust & Safety team monitors all our systems for suspicious activity and anomalous user behaviour and take timely action to protect our users. The team also screens reports from the community and take remedial action if something that does not align with our rules.
