Vishwajit Kashid is the CEO of TALBlood Aid and ISBTI's Goodwill Ambassador for Platelets Donations. Having donated 184 times, he is currently the record holder for platelet donations. He is also the only person across the globe to have donated Granulocytes 12 times which involves the riskiest type of donation to the benefit of Cancer patients.

An IT engineer by profession, a frantic, late-night call from a blood bank in August 2016 changed the course of Vishwajit’s life. A young boy for fighting with Dengue was fighting for his life after his platelet count dropped significantly and was in immediate need of platelets. This experience of witnessing the value of life and how critical timely access to blood & blood components is, he decided to change the status quo. Apart from regularly donating blood and blood components, he educated himself in Hematology and started the Blood Centre Joy Ride for research, innovation and sparking a wave of inspiration.

Vishwajit travels extensively to raise awareness on platelet donations, inspiring countless people to join the lifesaving movement. His leadership drives TALBlood Aid towards a future were blood and blood components are relics of the past
