INTRODUCTION

Touch-A-Life Foundation (referred to here as “TALBlood Aid” the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share information about you that we obtain through your use of TALBlood Aid (collectively referred to as the “Products & Services,” or “Services”).

By using our Services, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy (including as changed from time to time). If, for any reason, you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please stop using our Products & Services immediately.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

As further described below, when you use or otherwise access the Services, we collect information in multiple ways, including when you provide information directly to us, and when we passively collect information from your browser or device (e.g. by logging how you interact with our Services). If you do not wish to provide us with the following information, please delete your account or send us an email to support@talbloodaid.org and do not use our Products & Services in any way.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The following is information that we will not share with any third parties or disclose to any person other than as required by law. We may share your personal information with third party vendors or our other corporate and /or associate entities and affiliates to help with identity verification; detect and prevent identity theft, fraud, other potentially illegal acts and cyber security incidents; correlate related or multiple accounts to prevent abuse of our services; and to facilitate joint or co-branded services that you request where such services are provided by more than one associate entity. In certain cases, in order to provide you with services, we may receive your personal information from third parties regarding the verification of your identity status. In order to avail these services from third parties we may be required to share your personal information available with us (for instance, resume, email, your mobile number) with the third party. We will only collect from and share your personal information with third parties if it is strictly necessary for the provision of our services. We do not retain the data obtained from these third parties for any purpose other than the provision of our services to you. TALBlood Aid assumes no liability and is not responsible for the manner in which third parties gather and extract your personal information. These entities and affiliates may not market to you as a result of such sharing unless you explicitly opt-in.

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to summons, court orders, or other legal process. We may disclose personal information to law enforcement offices, third party rights owners, or others in the good faith and belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy; respond to claims that an advertisement, posting or other content violates the rights of a third party; or protect the rights, property or personal safety of our users or the general public We and our affiliates will share, part with and allow any other business entity to use the personal information provided by the User to TALBlood Aid, in the event we (or our assets) plan to merge with, or be acquired by that business entity, or re-organization, amalgamation, restructuring of business. Should such a transaction occur, another business entity (or the new combined entity) will be required to follow this privacy policy with respect to your personal information.

DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

A.Information That You Provide Directly to Us:

  • I. Registration information:

    When you register for our Services or open an account, we collect your contact and log in details, your zip/post code, your country and any information you choose to provide us with (such as a profile picture).

    Individuals looking to donate or need blood ,establish an account with the TALBlood Aid platform, we will collect the name, physical address, email address, date of birth, detailed resume and phone number of the person who is looking to donate or need blood and any other information that is provided to us about you. We may also collect the contact's gender or any photos uploaded to the Site. You can edit your information by logging in to your account and making changes at any time

  • II. Information relating to third parties:

    We do not display your contact information publicly on our site or disclose personally identifiable information to third parties, except for when (1) we have your permission to make the disclosure, (2) the disclosure is necessary for the purpose for which the information was obtained, (3) a third party is assisting us to provide or manage the services or website, or (4) where otherwise stated in this policy. We also may disclose information where permitted by applicable law or when the disclosure is necessary, in our sole discretion, for the establishment or maintenance of legal claims or legal compliance, to satisfy any law, regulation, subpoena or government request, or in connection with litigation.

    If you use any feature of the Services that allows you to communicate with third parties (such as to refer a third party to the Services or to communicate with them regarding a campaign or a donation), either by submitting Third-Party Data to the Services or otherwise permitting the Services to automatically access Third-Party Data in your possession, you acknowledge and agree that you have the authority of the relevant third party for us to access and use the relevant Third-Party Data and that you have notified these third parties and informed them how their information is collected and used by TALBlood Aid to provide the Services.

B. Information that is collected passively or automatically:

  • I. Device & Usage Information:

    When you interact with TALBlood Aid through the Services, we automatically receive and store certain information from devices that you use to access the Services. This information is collected passively by using various technologies and includes the type of internet browser or mobile device you use, any website from which you have accessed the Services, your operating system and location data through an IP address that identifies the city and state where you logged into the Platform or your precise geo-location if you have permitted your mobile device to provide that information to us. TALBlood Aid either stores such information itself or such information is included in databases owned and maintained by TALBlood Aid or its agents or service providers.

  • II. Aggregated Data:

    In an ongoing effort to better understand the use of our Services and serve you, TALBlood Aid often conducts research on its users demographics, interests and behaviour based on information that we collect. We can anonymize and aggregate the information collected through the Services for research purposes or any other purposes, and we can share this information with our affiliates, agents, business partners or other third parties.

  • III. Cookies and Other Electronic Technologies:

    A “cookie” is a piece of text which asks permission to be placed on your computer or device’s hard drive. Once you agree, this cookie file is stored on the hard drive of your computer or device. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's servers and stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are required for our service. We use cookies to track and record user session information. Some examples include keeping you logged into your account while keeping your session secure, views of specific pages or modals, and the number of password reset requests. We do not use permanent cookies but will require users to log in periodically to our site in order to help protect your account information.

  • V.Other technology

    Web beacons: Additionally, emails we send may contain a bit of code known as a "web beacon." This code allows us to understand the time and date of when a user has opened an email and when he/she has utilized a link within the email to visit a website. Our web beacons do not collect personally identifiable information and you may disable our web beacons. Please see your email client for more information regarding disabling web beacons.

    LOG FILES: Like many other web sites, the Company makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user's movement around the site, and gather demographic information. You may request us to stop the collection of tracking information at any time by adjusting the settings on your device, or contact us at support@talbloodaid.org Please note that disabling these features may render some or all of our Products & Services unavailable.

    When you register for an account with us, we may collect additional information automatically from you. For example, when you choose to connect your email account with our system, the Company may collect additional information from you, including the content of your e-mail messages, your contacts, and entries in any calendars associated with your email account. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHTS TO CONNECT YOUR EMAIL TO OUR SERVICES. BY CONNECTING A WORK EMAIL TO OUR SYSTEM, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE OBTAINED ALL NECESSARY CONSENT FROM YOUR EMPLOYER AND THAT YOUR EMPLOYER HAS READ AND CONSENTED TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY. You may choose not to connect your email account to our system, however, certain parts of our Products & Services may not work.

OUR USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

TALBlood Aid uses the information collected from the Services in a manner that is consistent with this Policy. We use the information that you provide (or otherwise permit the Services to access) for the following purposes:

  • A. Communicating with You

    We use the information we collect to contact you for administrative purposes (e.g. to provide services and information that you request or to respond to comments and questions). We also use the information we collect to send you communications relating to the Services, such as updates on promotions and events, communications relating to products and services offered by us and by third parties, and communications about services we believe will be of interest to you. For example, we can send periodic emails to registered users of the Services relating to their recent interactions with the Services, such as donating to a campaign or "hearting" a campaign.

    Mobile Services: If you access the Services through a mobile device and if you have chosen to provide us with your mobile number or other electronic means to your mobile device, you agree that we can communicate with you regarding TALBlood Aid by SMS, MMS, text message.

  • B. Analytics and Product Development

    We use the information we collect to analyse data usage trends and preferences in order to improve the accuracy, effectiveness, security, usability or popularity of our Services.

  • C. Customization

    We use the information we collect, such as device identifiers, to learn how users interact with our Services in order to personalize the content of our Services, such as customizing the language and campaigns on our home page based on your location.

  • D. Legal

    We use the information that we collect to defend our legal rights, comply with state, local, federal or international laws and enforce our Terms of Service and this Policy.

OUR DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH THE SERVICES

    You may have the opportunity to receive certain communications from us related to our Services. If you provide us with your email address in order to receive communications, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe links at the bottom of our emails. Please note that certain emails may be necessary to provide you with our Services. You will continue to receive these emails, if appropriate, even if you unsubscribe from our optional communications.

UNSOLICITED INFORMATION

Please be advised that some information that you provide may be publicly accessible, such as information posted in forums or comment sections. We also collect information through customer support communications, your communication to us of ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, feedback and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, with publicly-accessible information, "Unsolicited Information"). By sending us Unsolicited Information, you further: (a) agree that we are under no obligation of confidentiality, express or implied, with respect to the Unsolicited Information, (b) acknowledge that we may have something similar to the Unsolicited Information already under consideration or in development, (c) grant us an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, modify, prepare derivative works, publish, distribute and sub-license the Unsolicited Information, and (d) irrevocably waive, and cause to be waived, against TALBlood Aid and its users any claims and assertions of any moral rights contained in such Unsolicited Information. This Unsolicited Information section shall survive any termination of your account or the Services.

Minor

Our Website is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we request that individuals under 18 not provide personal data to the Company. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 18 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that a minor under the age of 18 has submitted personally identifiable information online without parent consent, we will take all reasonable measures to delete such information from our databases and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the minor or others as required or allowed by law). If you become aware of any personally identifiable information, we have collected from minors under 18, please contact us at support@talbloodaid.org , If you are a member or contact of one of our customers, you should review their privacy policy to determine their privacy practices with respect to minor’s data.

EXTERNAL LINKS

Our Products and Services may include links to and from the websites of our partner networks and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for such privacy policies. Please check the privacy policies applicable to any other website you access via the Website before you submit any personal information to such other websites.

SECURITY

We take precautions, but cannot provide guarantees. We do our best to secure your data through the programming of our services and the use of security measures that we deem appropriate for the type of data provided. However, we cannot completely guarantee that no part of our system or site will ever fail or be compromised. If you ever suspect that our site or services has contributed to your personal information being compromised, please contact us at support@talbloodaid.org immediately so that we can investigate and try to resolve the matter.

RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

We will only retain the information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which that information was collected and to the extent permitted or required by applicable laws. When we no longer need to use your information, we will remove it from our systems and records and/or take steps to anonymize it so that you can no longer be identified from it in accordance with our internal document retention policies.

When determining the retention period, we take into account various criteria, such as the type of products and services requested by you or that you are provided with by us, the nature and length of our relationship with you, possible re-enrolment with our products or services, the impact on the services we provide you with if we delete some information about you, mandatory retention periods provided by law and the statute of limitations.

PRIVACY INFORMATION IN COMPLIANCE TO INDIA

If you are in India, you have certain rights in relation to your personal information under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Information Technology Act, 2000 and other applicable Indian data privacy laws.

The Company is the controller of personal data submitted by you or otherwise collected when you use the Site and Services. Please note, however, that the Company is not the controller of third-party data you may submit to our Service. We process such information within the Service solely in the processor’s role and, depending on the scope of your activity, you may be the data controller.

If you would like to request a copy of your personal information being held by us, request that your personal information is deleted, request to update and/or correct your personal information, or request that we provide a copy of your personal information to another data controller, please contact us. We will aim to respond to your request within one calendar month of receipt of your request.
